Pharaoh ants are tiny (1.5–2 mm), light yellow to reddish ants with dark abdomens. Because of their size, they easily spread through buildings, especially multi-unit properties.

These ants thrive indoors and spread rapidly. Disturbing the colony can cause “budding,” where new colonies split off — making improper treatment worse. They prefer sweets, proteins, and oils.
Keep food sealed and surfaces clean. Seal interior cracks and avoid leaving water or spills in kitchens and bathrooms.
